I fell in love with this dress in 2012. No, it was not from seeing it on McCartneys resort runway show, rather, a cousins cousin wearing it to a shared family function. Cousins cousins are a weird thing you know? Like you know each other but your not friends nor do you wish to be you just often find yourselves at the same things. A friendly smile and wave is really all you should have to give but more often than not cousins cousins come with strings attached, needing to know their husbands brothers kid. I digress because none of this was the case with this kiss cousin (kiss cousin = cousins cousin) (for those that don't know). This kiss cousin was cool as hell with killer style. My little 15 year old self staring at her in the Stella in awe. Weeks went by and I was still going on about the whimsical dress. I had to have it. But different than anything I've ever "had to have" before. (or so I told my mom). Obviously nothing came of this mini obsession until 2013. Let me back track a little. I want to start by saying that I by no means stand for first hand/ mall shopping to date. BUT, my mom, does. SO, we were in Saks, browsing the garments when I see the mannequin of my dreams adorned in the oh so coveted Stella McCartney resort 2012 dress i had seen 1 year back. I looked up at the dress the same way I looked at Degas Dancers at the Met as a child. A look that said: "You can look, but don't touch". I called my mom over excitedly. Being the eternal optimist she is, said: "Maybe it's on sale!" HA! I thought to myself but proceeded to find someone who can locate the dress in the store for me. I was told this is the last available dress in stock in all Saks stores across the country. But if I'd like to purchase it off the mannequin for a discounted price I was able to. I'm not going to tell you the discounted price but it was AMAZING. Like drool worthy. Anyways, here we are 8 years later and I am ready to pass along to the next. It was a great run filled with great memories. I hope the next person loves and enjoys this piece as much as me! Also- Im wondering it my Kiss cousin will ever read this and know I'm talking about her. lol.

Okay this dress is a size 38. I have worn it over the years and have most definitely fluctuated in weight so I'd say it this dress fits a size 2-6 US Women's.
